if you're going to run cross country if i were you i wouldn't want extended a arms, axle whatever, i built my 250R for cross country and have everything stock length just aftermarket, most cross country trails aren't very wide and you have to think about the ruts and stuff that are made.

and for cross country you are going to want bottom to mid range power, so i'd look into stuff that will give you that, cross country is alot rougher than most people think and in most cases is worse than racing motocross, you almost have to be in tip top shape to run XC and XC races are pretty long so you'll be running for a while, this is just what i know from experience

The November issue of Dirt Wheels did a story on Bill Ballance's cross country YFZ vs Jeremiah Jones MX YFZ. It talks about the two different motors/bore kits and the different ways the to quads ride. It does talk about Ballance's mods, even gives his jetting specs. Very interesting article.

yeah just read dirtwheels when they had Ballance's 450 vs. Jones's 450, but why try to make a duplicate of either one, myself i like to have a custom setup of what i like, and you never know it may perform better than there's, they are just great riders is what makes every machine fast.

good luck
