ItalianStallion. what was the torque curve like were they close like the HP #'s that might be the diff.

thanks stallion, yeah she pulled a 58.9 (posted it on the OTHER forum) so a .5 hp diff, almost identical torque curves, sis' was very jumpy on top though, it would jup up by 2hp then down 1.5, then up and down a few times more. we didn't adjust anything, we should have though, we were to busy wrenching on my bike (that ended up not running, but we gave it a good shot though)

really weird though, how the numebrs are so close, and we even changed riders, the diff in builds are cam and pipe difference... sis has a better cam and stallion has a better pipe.

Did you dyno with the same tires and do you have the same paddles? Hers has 01 gears and you have 02. Did you ever drag on flat ground? Did they do any torque graphs? Sorry for so many questions but this is interesting to me. 344PV said it first the torque is the key.

Just on abservation.
Stallion and I were neck and neck, I know that on this video, I pulled on him, but most of the races we had, were side by side, it he did not win. He dynoed at 59.4 hp. My bike has to be lighter (450R vs Rappy), but its no drag set up, I am 235-40 (depending on what I ate) and I would guess Stallion is closer to 200. Lets call it close enough for the s I take out, on weight.
The stock bore winner (under 501) was Pinnit Motorsports built 450R, Jeff Kyle owner/rider. He could pull me by the same distance (roughly) as RapFam's sis. He dynoed at 53 hp at sea level.
I did not dyno there, so take it for what its worth, just pointing out an observation.

EDIT: This shows you that there are so many variables that have to do with speed up the hill. Only one of many is HP/tq.

hope stallion doesn't mind... these numbers have already been told, but the torque comparisons are new

stallion - sis
max hp = 59.4 58.7 = adv. stallion by .7 hp
torque = 44.6 44.8 = adv. sis by .2 ft/lbs

never ran on flat ground, sis is 01 gearing 12/43, stal is 02 gearing 13/43 (sis was still geared to low, she needed 12/42 or maybe even 12/41???)

i would be guessing (you are a better rider) probably around 54-56 on the dyno that we were running on??? I'm not very good at dyno estimates, you should have done it it was only 20 bucks, not too bad... you have one of the fastest EX's around for sure!!!
