Warn 424 Select for a Wolverine
#1
I did some quick searches and didn't find exactly what I am looking for. I recently acquired a 424 for my Wolveirne, but as luck would have it, no install instructions, no anti-rotation hardware, and no **** mounting tab. The mountin tab and anti-rotation hardware I can fabricate, but I would like to have a copy of the orignial installation instructions as I have read there are some adjustments to the control ****.
If anyone can help me out, it would be most appreciated.

PM me your email address and I will scan some copies of mine.
As far as the mounting strap goes, it is total junk IMO. I fabbed my own rubber mounted attachment kit, the original is now an arm's throw away.

I drilled a hole in the downtube to mount my anti-rotate strap,,then doubled the strap. I have had no problems with this. The clamp they supplied was puke. I didnt use the bracket to mount the ****, I drilled a hole int eh front fender beside the tank and ran it up through , the fender is the mount, works great and almost looks factory.. the units are great..

hey lotus position, could you give me details on how you made
your own anti-rotation strap?
How much clearance do you have between the warn 424 body and the head pipe??
Mines hitting the head pipe!
Thanks

Quadusmaximus,
I had problems with pipe clearance on my 95 Wolverine when installing the Warn 424, I ended up loosening the head pipe at the motor, and the clamp to the muffler, I was then able to move the pipe around and gain some clearance, not much, but it won't hit now, but still gets hot after a long run, I was thinking of putting some heat relfective tape or an aluminum plate over it to protect it, that heat can't be good for the lube inside the unit, in my opinion.

Thanks for the info. Are you using the same anti-rotation hardware
that came with the kit? What I,ve noticed is that the rubber strap becomes
too flexible with heat from the engine allowing the 424 unit to move too much.
