Back in the day the warrior was one of the fastest trail bikes around - today since all these new bikes came out everyone thinks there tuff **** riding new technology higher power/faster bikes... The warrior is an awesome reliable bike, treat it well and mod it man.

air filter, tires (can get expensive) stock are fine now till they wear out. handlebars/grips are another. What type of riding will you be donig with your warrior?

few trails.. and mostly riding around my big driveway and on the street. mayb some snow too

how much would some good handle guards cost? looking to get some so that when i rid the cold air (5 degree right now) won't freeze my hands.

-edit- is an HJC helmet good? My dad bought me one with the quad for $89.00 with a retail of $249.99. Just wondering wether he got a rly good deal or if it is a crappy helmet.. it is brand new.

Don’t just buy an air filter > get the pro design conversion clamp on style kit; the warrior stock method SUCKS!!! Its 100 bucks but its WELL WORTH IT, makes life easier, channels air better, and doesn’t let crap in bro! My first mod would be getting some 22 or 20x11x9 rear tires > stock bubble tires suck *** you will notice a huge dif. after you throw some holeshots on there or other tires.

*you wont freeze your hands just wear the thinsulate gloves that turn into the mittons and you will be straight. I ride in temps -5 & -10 all the time (the wind chill must be crazy) and my hands dont get cold. I wear a snow suit, boots w/thinsulate socks, full face & neck ski mask with just the eye opening, goggles & helmet, 3 long sleeve shirts and a hoodie over the suit,

Any of the HJC helmets I've had have all been good, offroad and street models.
The Maier handguards will cost you around $30-35.00. They do a good job of protecting your hands from branches offroad, and a decent job of keeping the cold air off. Your thumb WILL get cold as it's down below the handguard on the throttle side. Like Doug said, good mitten-type Thinsulate gloves do a GREAT job of keeping your hands warm.
We've got about 6" of new snow here today. I'm going to go put the handguards on the Warrior (got them for Christmas) and take it out for a while later. I already have them on the Wolverine.
We're supposed to keep getting snow today so I'll do some street riding on the Warrior, then take the Wolverine for a ride offroad down by the creek. Gotta love it!
