Mines a 2002 and looks new and is decently modified and I doubt i could get $2000 for it.. Definatley tell him to lower the price to like 1700-1800. Blasters are durable but I would suggest first getting a pipe (LRD or graydon) and a UNI filter. And after that stuff I would suggest new tires such as holeshots and turf tamers all around (Stock tires suck so much a$$) And after all that you can get the LSR +4 axle, extended swingarm (+3 is a good lenth) and a 400EX rear shock and maybe works for the front to keep you stabilized and not flying all around. And if you want to get even more serious you can get HWD porting, larger carb, reeds, lightened flywheels, longrods, wiseco piston, etc. and go all out! It depends on what riding you do..

i would keep it stock, cuase i would rather mod my 400ex cuase it is alot faster. And also i would be getting the blaster cuase its hard to keep up with my brother on the ex and me on a slow utility polaris. do you think i could sell the polaris for 2400, it seems like alot. the only thing that is wrong is the foot brake doesnt work. this is the second time it went out.

Dude you can mod a blaster to KILL a 400EX (I mean litterly eat it alive) with the right porting, carb, pipe, reeds, flywheel lightening, and sprocket changes..

you sure can, my cousin has a blaster that whoops on his cannondale, and my buddy's blaster is just bored, FMF exhaust, Boyesen Reeds and he isn't too far behind my brother's 400ex
