warrior eating chain guide

I just replaced the sprockets and chain on my warrior and now it is eating up the lower chain guide wheel. Doesnt the chain run under the lower quide wheel?, I set the chain slack to 1.5" at the lower side of the chain and it does ride on the guide wheel.
