If you do get the screws out, go to a hardware store or something and get replacements that are stronger. The screws that come factory suck and always strip or break so make sure you get better ones.

Fox forma is right. Clutches 80% are very easy to do on an ATV or motorcycle. Much easier than cars. Just lay out your parts in order. Rmember it is a sandwich of metal to fiber to metal to fiber. No metal to metal. A good thing to check while you have that clutch apart is for warpage. Take all the metal disks in the clutch pack and stack them up like a stack of pancakes. They should forma flat stack that is stable. If they form a wobbly stack then some or all are warped from heat and slippage. Take on at a time and lay it flat. Check for a gap between each one and the tabletop surface with a feeler guage. Also check the slots in the clutch basket that the disc teeth ride in and out in. The slots should have smooth edges. Sometimes they wear in at each disc. causing a square wave shaped edge. These should be filed back to smooth for the diss to slide smoothly. If they are really jagged you may consider replacing the basket. Also be sure the clutch pressure plate throwout rod and ball are free and straight. The rod is about he size of a pencil in some machines. Not sure on the Banshee. The rod is located inside the shaft that hte clutch is mounted to. That rod can get bent and or broken and jam inside the shaft, stopping it from sliding in and out while engaging and disengaging the clutch and could also cause slack in the clutch cable you mentioned. Grab a manual, clutches are a good item to learn.

I just did my clutch on my warrior. Important to remeber to buy a new gasket for the clutch case side. Other than that just make sure you have an impact rench or the clutch boss holding tool. It took me about 4 hours start to finish, I had never done one before and I had some great help. It was very easy, a clymer repair manual is a huge help. Just remeber to put the thin dusk up fron and you will be fine
