Default Plowing snow mess up engines?

Let see i have been plowing for 2-3 years now with my polaris xplorer 4x4 and my quad is belt driven and have never had a problem yet. I plow alot of snow and am shocked at what i can move. I also am hard on quads and my quad still works fine. Your uncle is mess around and trying to scare you. i wont be worried about it. It also will not mess up your engine either, just change the oil and you should be fine

Hey raptor"BOY"forlife,

If you don't have a clue about the Wolverine, why bother relpying and confusing things? Did it say in my post that auto trannies don't run with belts? NO! It clearly says that the Wolverine is NOT an auto and there is NO belt to worry about since its NOT and auto transmission.

Nothing personal, just pisses me off when people reply without understanding or misreading, whatever the case may be and then confusing people even more.

Oh, BTW BigBaller, you should make some descent cash if the snow storms keep coming down like they have so far this month. Good luck and have fun.

Here in my kneck of the woods, we've got at least 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 feet of snow. All dumped within 2 weeks.

lol, sorry for lashing out, got into work at 7am and read the post, had to get it out of my system.

I've been plowing with my 02 Kodiak (belt drive) since 02 and still have the original belt. So far all is working great. My step father has been plowing since 02 with his Vinson (auto) and has over 8000 km on his original belt. So basically i'm not worried about it. Don't get me wrong plowing does put a bit of stress on the atv auto or manual but as long as you take care of your stuff you should be alright.

later
Marc

Better just make sure to lock that Wolverine up in a shed or garage when you're not using it so the shovel guys don't f**k with it because you're stealing their bidness!!!!
