i was going to say the same thing, the Raptor is quicker on top end than a 450R, and when you mod a raptor you will never get either one of the 450's to touch it, especially the Craycraft ones, they make some bada** kits, but stock for stock the raptor WILL beat a 450, not out of the hole or acceleration, but on top end the Raptor will beat the 450's. DS650 will whoop them all stock

Default What Yamaha Stock Quad is the Fastest?
Yes the DS will win, it is a fast machine, my friend and I race and i beat him until 3rd gear or so then he takes over, about the same w/ the raptor

Default What Yamaha Stock Quad is the Fastest?
i believe the ds is faster, but not the raptor. if everybodies saying the predator is the same top speed as a raptor, or a mile an hour more then the 450s are the same. IVE DONE IT CHOKE @$$. the raptor is sooo slow for a 660 its not funny. i havent ridden one in a long time, but we owned an 01 and my dad was sick cause he was expecting so much more. and i am NOT the only one who has said that

what does IVE DONE IT CHOKE @$$ mean???, a raptor is faster on top end than a 450R and a Predator, it just does not have explosive power and acceleration, and you haven't rode a Raptor for a long time and the 450's just came out so how can you truthfully compare them, the Raptor was not designed for MX same as the Banshee isn't, they are all out drag machines or you can race TT with them, the Raptor and Banshee both produce great top end speed with not so great acceleration, i will agree that for a 660cc engine it could've been better, but don't go criticizing every other machine out besides a 450R, i like them all, but have my preferences on what i like, but they are all very good machines even the Gas Gas's that were being argued about in the Sport ATV forum, as long as it takes you out and brings you back is what really matters, and each one serves it's own purpose
