<<<<<Actually given that the car is cutting wind for the quad and thus removin wind resistance, it could easily achieve 3-5 mph more behind or close beside it. If you dont believe me try it, get behind a vehcile going at a good rate then gas it and try to pass, when you get out of their draft stream you lose speed quickly and will not pull by as easily as you think.>>>>>>

Thats called drafting and will apply more speed than you are going untill like he said, get out of the draft, the speed of the stang could be off or maybe you did get an accurate calc. Who knows, taking is to a track 1/8 mile, would give you an accurate test or using a radar gun.

Hey QuickDS, when your DS proves to be as reliable as the Banshee then you can run your mouth but as for now the DS is one of the most unreliable quads on the market. Just read the Bombardier thread.

The post with the 85.3 GPS reading must have been just kidding around, because areryone has read that the Raptor is the slowest thing around.

Thanks to Yamaraptor , Jiga, Garyc660r for backing me up on this one. There is just to much room for error to give a quad a exact top speed rating from measurement with a car. As you guys said the draft, speedo being off, human error, exc., exc. If you want a 100% accurate speed rating take it to the track.

Can one of the DS owners please explain why the GPS reading was "of-course" false? We all know and have etchet it on the wall that the Raptor will only do 74. Break out the calculators and call the meteorologist.

I guess I'm stoopid (hehe), but I bent my A-arm back out, put a brace on it and have been riding, but not jumping it. I'm sure I hit 70mph just a few minutes ago....
