I cant find out which quad is best for me! I am 3/4 open fields, dirt places and dirt jumps and hills! then I am 1/4 woods with enought space to u turn! Please help! And I have been riding for 11 years with sport quads and a few 4x4s!

 

Raptor all the way. Raptor is the best for open trails, and open feilds, Z400 is also good at open trails and feilds, but not as good, the YFZ is for MX and stuff, not ment for trails. go with the raptor, then when you mod the raptor, it really wakes up.

 

Hey, i thought you all ready had a Z-400 and you were trying to beat that yfz-450 on your "Block".?

 

Personally, based on how you ride, i'd probably go with the YFZ450 especially if you're on flat dirt (like an mx track) with some jumps (like an mx track) and just a little bit of woods (like some mx tracks). So, since the YFZ450 is a pure mx bike at heart and from the factory, i think you'd be happiest with that especially if you have enough room to make a u-turn in the wooded area, you won't need reverse.

 

YFZ all I use my 450 for is trail riding, It is better in everyway one the trail compared to my old raptor (except reverse) IMO

Hey ive done research on this.. I have a raptor and i love it its a great quad. It is top-heavy on the trails!! and it is horrible on the track.. just too heavy.. It has so much torque!!! I am actually trading my raptor in for a YFZ I just love the extreme amount of power it has for its size. it is a very very quick quad.. for the MX track it is one of the best (stock) for trails it is great because it is not top heavy!! Reverse was very nice to have on my raptor but for the weight of the yfz just get off and pick it up and turn it wont be that hard or even rock back and forth (its light enough).

My vote counts as YFZ 450

I would say the YFZ, ive rode both the YFZ and the raptor, Never rode a Z, but between them 2 i would buy the YFZ no questions asked if it was me.
