is the kodaik a good atv is it good for lots of mud and deep river crosing an what is the top speed.

 

The Kodiak I had was a great ATV.I used to own a 99 Kodiak and it was great at deep water and mud running. But it was alittle different then the 00-01 model. It had a 5 speed tranny, so I didn't have to worry about water getting in. The new Kodiak has an auto tranny, and if you get in too deep you will get water in it and start slipping the belt. It was air/oil cooled, instead of liquid cooling. So it wasn't as powerful. Top speed on the 99 was about 45-50 mph. depending on your tail wind. Don't know about the top speed on the new ones. You didn't say what year you were looking for, so I shared what I know about the 99. Hope it was helpful.
