engine screaming

have a 93" blaster sometimes when you pull the clutch in it rev's out completly.. i know it 's not the throttle cable B/C if you let the clutch out it bogs down. so what else could it be and it seems to only happen when i'm in snow and riding for a long time.

You could very well have a vacume leak. This causes lean and over reving of the motor especially when the motor is warm or hot. Riding in snow expecially on a two stroke can cause a hot engine (surprising right?) Reason is because the snow is slippery and it is easy to over rev the motor alot spinning the tires more htan usual. This can easily heat up a two stroke. Spray with WD40, or a oil/gas mixture. Spray at pinpoint areas such as the carb intake boot and fuel bowl gasket and also the throttle shaft protusions the the carb body. Careful avoiding hot areas and especially the ignition spark. Listen for RPM changes. The engine will let you know where the leaks are. Also check your ignition timing and also be sure you are using the right gas oil premix etc. Another spot to check for a vacuum leak is at the crankshaft end bearings. Make sure your throttle cable is routed properly and not being affected by turning the handlebars thus strectching the cable and also definitely not sticking. Bogging does not rule that out. Good luck.

Just to clarify one item for you. The crankshaft bearing each have a seal. On two stroke engines the bottom of the crankshaft cavity is actually part of the intake. If the crankshaft seals leak it will create a vacume leak. There is a test to see if the crankshaft holds proper vacume but you need an adaptor plate etc. inwhich goes in place of your carb etc. The spray test is a quick way to check for that leak. Mix the oil and gas 50/50. for your spray bottle.
