Default yfz 450 problems with cutting out mid range

Ok. I have a 05 yfz 450. I have recently installed hotcams (intake and exhaust), gyt-r slip on exhaust, aluminum air box with k&n filter. carb jetted 180 main 48 pilot needle in 4th position and 1.5 turns on fuel screw. I am having problems with the bike cutting out at mid range when cruising. I put all the parts on at once and got the jetting specs from hotcams. can anyone help me out??

Well I am running the same set up, except stock cams with the cam mod, and I run the same needle on the 4th clip, but I am only running 170 main, and I have no problems, anyone else have any suggestions, is cutting out just cruising, or when you are really on it, rich blubber sound or a lean sound,

also before I got the jetting specs from hot cams I had 170 main, 45 pilot, stock turn on fuel screw and needle in 6th position and it did the same thing. I just didnt know if maybe I got off 1 tooth on the cams and maybe that is causing it or if it is the jetting. I havnt pulled the plug yet to see what color it is yet either.

that would be my next guess, because your jetting is pretty dang close to where you need to be, and if it is running as bad as you say, something has got to be off!
