What is Hare Scramble Racing? Is it like Cross Country? In these races how would the Predator or Raptor do?

I think you might want to look into the Z. The reason I say this is racing is a lot harder than you think. So if you race and "IF" you decide it is not for you, you still have a sport quad that is a good trail machine. Just think about that before you purchase.

And Hare Scrambles is long laps around wooded terrains for a certain amount of time or laps.

well if you like pushing a machine to its limits and sliding the banshee is a mean machine. they slide very well since they have a low sence of gravity and if you have expereince you can control the throttle just enough to get some wheelspin and REALLY make a banshee slide. as to goin fast the banshee is a hauss and will really open up. the one thing i like a my banshee it i know it will open and i can make it open up really fast and you can really feal the power of a 2-stroke . dont think a 350 if not enough for you, the banshee is a 2-stroke which means a 350 2-stroke compared to a 350 4-stroke there is a HUGE difference the 2-stroke will smoke the 4 and leave it in the dust.

bottom line, the banshee has alot power and is just a very very fun machine to ride.

well man you have to be 16 to race anything over a 90cc in AMA, but the YFZ450 would be your best bet, you'll just have to wait till you turn 16

dat is wrong im 14 and im racing in a open class in PA w/ a 350cc air cooled 4-stroke limit and the maxxis 6-hr race has a 13-15 yr old 200cc+ race

Well first off, if your gonna race, NO Reverse, second if your gonna race theres no other choice than the YFZ, that thing is unstoppable.

The YFZ is awesome but i think you would be better off with the Z in the woods. Reverse sure is nice and the suspension is softer.

if ur racing u dont need reverse, if u got the cash then get the yfz450. im sure ull be able to handle it, jus take it easy until u do. if u dont then id say look into a 400ex. they handle great and arent as much power as the 450.
