Kodiak Brake Fix?
Hi everyone. Just bought the 05 camo Kodiak 2 weeks ago, have put only 7 hours on it, but already have the "squeaky rear brake syndrome." I know there have been previous post on this subject, but none that stated if anyone found a true fix to this problem. If any current owners know a true fix for this could you please pass it on. With that being said, I love everything else about this bad boy. Thanks for all the feedback in helping me pick this one. Great machine, would buy another one tomorrow. Just wanna fix that dang squeak. Thanks guys.

got to your auto part store buy some "squeek stop" it comes in a spray bottle or also avail. in a brush on type or squeeze type application,
it's liquid rubber and provides a layer between the brake pad and caliper, dampening viboration.
this is the same noise you hear on car brakes, it is caused by viboration, resonation, the pad basicaly grabs (stops) and skids , and repeats it many times real fast, as the pad "brakes in" this grab and skid becomes more of a flow.
If you let it sit or get it wet a layer of oxidation (rust) will build on the surface of the rotor and it will do it again for a while.
on our ATV its the paper thin rotor that contributes the this problem,
other than that the only thing you can do is ride it and let the brake pad become friends with the rotor :-)
on mine I only hear it when first starting or taking off, after that its gone for the rest of the day.
