Wsanders, thanks!

One question. When you do the 4th and 5th gear test, are you laying down on the quad or sitting upright?

It will be interesting to see if the Raptor w/12 tooth sprocket will over-rev enough to attain a higher speed in 5th.

Kinda half and half. I'm holding the GPS in my clutch hand and leaning over a bit for wind resistance, uh...resistance!

It's not a full sportbike tuck but I'm not sitting straight up either.

Scooby...how did that stock Raptor stack up against your modified DS? Thanks!

Wsanders...thanks for the great info.! Have you removed the intake restriction yet? It seems without the restriction, top end would be a tad faster.

It's still %100 bone stock. I haven't so much as changed the oil or tightened the chain, nothing.

I'll save the mods for after I get some good GPS 12 tooth countersprocket info. Maybe even 11 tooth.

The Raptor held it's own pretty well in a drag for being all stock. Only negatives were it appeared to be slightly restricted in top speed and when I rode it, it wasn't nearly as comfy as the DS for dunes, but felt good for trails.

IS REVERSE AS FAST AS 1ST GEAR, OR DOES IT JUST SEEM LIKE IT. IS IT LIMITED? OR WILL IT DO 33 M.P.H. TOO, IN THEORY?

Actually, it should do 45 mph at 8494 rpm in reverse IF it doesn't have some sort of limiter. Who's gonna test this out? NOT ME!!!

The reverse ratio is 1.75 compared to the 1st gear ratio of 2.428. Reverse is actually much closer to 2nd which is 1.526.

I will if mine ever comes in. Does anyone know when dealers are getting their second batch?
