Here are the latest Raptor GPS results!!! (All 5 gears!)

This is also in Paul's thread but just to make sure that everyone read the new results I thought a new thread was needed.
Howdy guys! I've been busy lately!
Ok, I did some more GPSing today. The results were a little better. I believe this is due to it being broken in better and because of the cooler drier weather that we are enjoying here now.
Here are the results of all five gears!
1st 33.2 mph 8694 rpm
2nd 51.9 mph 8542 rpm
3rd 63.6 mph 8492 rpm
4th 70.6 mph 7973 rpm
5th 75.4 mph 7352 rpm
Of course these rpm figures are calculations based on 20" tires, a 6.42 final drive ratio calculated from a 2.088 primary reduction and a 3.076 secondary reduction.
Because of the different results from my last test, I am starting to believe that the Raptor's speed is indeed dictated by power and not by some form of artificial governor. This will become much easier to verify once more power is added.
Also, my 12 tooth countersprocket goes on tomorrow. I will GPS again afterwards and report my findings here.
I haven't had the chance to put a tach to it with the wheels off the ground but this I can tell you...it was only hitting the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd. It got very close in 3rd.

Nice Post. I myself ordered a 12 tooth sprocket for my Raptor because I do alot of woods and trail riding and like that low-mid range torque. However I don't want to waste that great top speed either. Please send your GPS results to bschisler@aol.com.
Thanks keep the info coming
