Default 727 Big Bore for Raptor 660?'s

Hi, I have 03 Raptor and was thinking about boring it out. What mods would I absolutly have to do ? Because I look stuff up on the internet and it shows $3,000 worth of parts, but i know it cant be that much just to bore out the engine....is it? Thanks for the help.

To do a 727 you need to take the whole engine apart to machine the case. You also can't just bore the cyl., it needs a different sleeve. The prices you've seen probably include other things like replacing the rod (since it's apart) or porting, gaskets and so on.

You can buy a kit on ebay buy it now for $329.....It includes everything you need minus an aftermarket rod which you can get by without if you choose. You will have to split the cases to have them machined. If a person were interested, I have a set of cases that are already machined for a 727 kit. You can email me @ jtk23@insightbb.com ....I bought a similar kit on Ebay for about the same price.

$329 727 kit http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WD1V
$250 Stage 2 hotcam and springs
$125 Ferrea Oversize Valves
Jet kit if you don't already have one
K&N Filter kit
Machine work ???
Labor ???

Pretty much the only thing that Bob is going to do that you cant buy off the shelf is the head porting. Otherwise its all the same parts, so as long as the head is ported well it will be fine.
