me and my dad will be ripping into my raptor, while i have it apart do you think i should put a hot cam stage 1 kit in it?

what kind of performance will i get from it, is it worth it, just let me now what you think

 

Go with a 11:1 Weisco piston, stock bore, and drop in a stage 2 cam with kibblewhite valve springs... but the stage one increases mid power mostly.

 

how much power will he notice with a wesico 11:1 and the stage one cam, with his full pipe and intake? and what kind of power.

 

ya cuz if i drop in like a high compression piston or somethin and a stage 1 kit with my mods that i have i think i will jump up to a 14 tooth front sprocket

do you guys think this is a good idea or should i do something else?

 

Lots of good power, plenty down low.

Yes, a 14 would do well with that power delivery. Depends on the pipe and airbox setup a little, but a 14/40 runs well.

 

Well, if i were you, i would get the 11:1 Stock bore piston, and a Hotcam stage 2. The hotcam stage 2 by itslef takes away some bottem end, but adds alot of mid and top end, but putting in a 11:1, you get all the bottem end back, plus more toruqe. if you go with the stage 2 you have to get the kibblewhite valve springs. The 11:1 and stage 1 will add alot of bottem end, and more mid range.

 

Stage 1 is better for trail riding...

 

ya i want to go with a stage 2 but i dont want to have to mess with the valves.......... i think i might do that and get a 11.1 stock bore piston. still not sure yet i would like some more info first thou

 

well, 11:1 with Stage 1 will make Power From Low-Mid, 11:1 will make power from Mid-Top, its more of where you want your power, i would just go with stage two, because i beleive the raptor allready has killer bottem-mid, and that it falls off at top end (dyno charts.)

 

ya cuz my top end sucks when i go to shift from 4 to 5th i have to pretty much red line it so i have the rpms i need to get going.
