Yamaha Raptor Water Pump Rebuild
My Raptor has been dripping coolant from the bottom of the water pump, i guess out of the drain hole, on the very bottom. I ordered the parts today and took mine apart. Once I got it apart I could see the problem. The water seal that sits flush with the impeller was badly cracked and torn. I got all the parts out of the old housing except for the bearing. The new kit comes with a new bearing, but I am having trouble removing it. Does heating expand, and cold collapse? Could I stick the casing in the freezer over night and maybe bang it out? I don't want to do too much banging cause I don't feel like replacing the casing. Wondering if there is an easier solution. Thanks for any advice in advance.
