Howdy, i have an 03 blaster and the header is smoking a bit (where it mounts to the engine) , its not really bad but it is at its worst when i start it up, after a few minutes it eventually goes away. but it happens every time. and there is a little bit of an oil leak from the same spot too! i did tighten the bolts as tight as i could but not tight enough to break anything, yet it still smokes and leaks. now the quad has less than 100 miles on it, i did install a UNI airfilter. is it possible the air filter is causing this?? i never did change the jetting, every thing else is all stock! if someone could help me out here i would be very thankfull.

I was thinking there for a minute that it might be a gasket. my father said that too, but i wanted to be sure before i take it apart. the head-pipe is held by 2 bolts, no problem for a wrench. atleast i hope the gasket fixes it.
well thanks alot for the very QUICK replies i appreciate it a bunch. thats why i like this site so much! so now i dont have to freak out about my quads engine, its just a simple fix lol. (i hope). thanks again!
