thanks fellas, i was also wodering what pipes u guys running , ive been searching around and im not really in a hurry because at the moment my hand is broke and this will be mainly used for racing this season , and because i still enjoy using my 400ex for trail riding .

well dont get me wrng but i have a white brthers e2 on one of my warriors and its not the best , i mean it sounds great and it gave me a lil extra oommp but it kinda started falling apart and this is going to mainly used on the track and on private property . im looking into curtis sparks x6 with the bore core , the fmf fact4 , white brothers carbon pro and the lrd

 

Not offended....you asked so I replied. I like my pipe for what I use my bike for. It dynoed out with the yfz450 as one of the better pipes. Keep in mind...an E2 for a yfz is not the same as an E2 for a 400ex. Check out Dirt Wheels website, they just did a test on pipes for the yfz. It is for quiet pipes which I have to have cause I dont race and I live in Oregon. It relates to an August issue they published which is when I bought my pipe. Your right...if I was racing my bike I might go with a different pipe, but then again...the E2 can change from quiet core to race ready by removing the end cap and pulling the spark arrestor and inserting the race end cap which is a lot bigger....havent done that yet but am curious to see the difference and if I would have to rejet if I did.

 

I've been running, and bought the DR D based on results I've seen from others that had it long before Dirtwheels did their shoot-out. Still very happy with its performance today. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
