the side that the brakes attach to is compression fit to the carrier and other side (which are one piece)

use a rubber or plastic mallet....or a piece of 2x4 and hammer to pound it off to the right....hitting the top and bottom until it pops off

then the other side will slide out

here

part # 7 slides off of part #2

right

the two pieces come apart

left side goes to the left,,,,,right side goes to the right

you need to pull the axle 1st,,,,have you done that?

is it safe to ride when ur axel bearings r bad and ur axel is a lil wobbly or will that cause more damage and fry the bearings?

it is highly recommended to not ride on worn out bearings

if you do,,,,it could make it harder to remove them when you do,,,and it could cause damage to the carrier itself (it is common to have to replace/repair the carrier)

on a raptor, it is common for the axle nuts to come loose,,,,,,and need to be re-torqued,,,,but if you are hearing popping and bad bearing noises,,,and still have a good bit of play,,,,,i wouldnt ride it at all

the bearings are cheap......and the process is pretty simple if you have a little mechanical ability

alright....carrier replaced and axle in....she now rolls...i guess with all the heat created the tolerances on the brake side was lessoned?...had to beat the crap out of it!!!

now next problem....go to start....nothing...obviously sitting awhile...drain gas...changed plug...cleaned stock air filter....pull dual carb...float bowl with red stuff ...cleaned and scrapped until ultra clean...go to start....it will sit and idle...but if you give it gas...wont rev...sounds almost if it went into some type of limp mode......is there such on this machine.....any suggestions?

is the parking brake on (rev limiter)?
main jet plugged?
is fuel getting to both bowls?

i would check your fuel level on your bowls to be sure they are both getting fuel,,,,,,and the proper amount.

'search' the clear tube method for checking fuel level in the bowl (the needle/float may be gummed up too resticting fuel flow)

Sealed bearings with seals for 21.50 shipped to my door Priority Mail. Process is simple, just requires a lot of beating things with rubber mallets, hammers, and screwdrivers...
