Default Going to bigger tires

I have an '05 Grizzly and I was thinking of going to bigger tires. The stock tires are 25-8x12 (front) and 25-10x12 (rear). I was wondering if I went to 26-9x12 (front) and 26-11x12 (rear), what are the pros and cons? I don't want to get a lift kit or snap axles or have any problems, just bigger tires. Will the clearances be okay? Please help.

Mike the 26' will not rub they will be fine , I just took mine off and put 27x12x12 and 27x10x12s on my Griz 04. The backs rub sometimes when I punch it , nothing a little trimming wont fix, I dont want a lift kit its already got a high center of gravity. I also have the preloads maxxed. The 27s dont rub the front .

how about 26x9-12 in front and 26x11-12 in rear? Can I use existing wheels?
