it seems like all the other brands dont give names to their quads (most of the time). blaster, warrior, raptor, breeze, banshee... most bramds give names to their utilities but why is yamaha the only one who has names. just because im guessing. lol. i know there are quads titles like the quadzilla but arent those just nicknames? just something i was thinkning about. not really important.

Giving the quads names was a homerun marketing ploy for Yamaha. People who are looking to get into quads will think of bikes they have heard of such as the raptor or banshee. If they are not a quad person, they would less likely rember things like a Z400 or a 300ex. For all they know, these could be lawn mowers or weed eaters. im not trying to say i dont like it that yamaha names there quads. i like it. its a good marketing idea. and yeah i do agree that yfz450 sounds better than raptor450, lol!!! i think the reason they went with the "real" name is because it was made for MX purposes. i dont know why other brands dont name their atvs tho. seems like they would have caught on by now.....

Other brands name thier utility quads, just not their sport bikes.
But if you take a look, they dont have all that many sport bikes. Kawi has 2(one was named, now retracted), zuki has 2, AC has 1, Polaris has 1 (named), bomb has 1. Only honda and yammi have more than 2 sport quads of any size.
