how many people actually keep their shees stock?

 

Said it before,will say it again,dollar for dollar Banshee can't be touched by yfz with equal dollars spent on both!!!!

 

Hi, what kind of surface are you on for this race?? Who has what kind of tires? I have a 2001 banshee and my best run stock top speed was 72mph..bone stock..on radar. I put fmf pipes, v-force reeds, proflow flange and k&n, removed air box lid(had no power with it on) thats how much more air it needed!!!, milled head, timing key, and mild porting and it isn't even close to what it was stock!!. I radared it before the milled head and porting and my besy run was 79.4 mph..no gearing changes!!! no tire changes. Getting to that speed isn't even comparable either. I can't imagine the race your talking about being close unless you are on dirt and the four stroke has alot better tires. If you come off the line hard, just touching the power band I can't imagine that thing even being close off the line with equal traction. I also have it jetted properly which makes a huge difference!!You having pipes on that thing should make such a difference!!. If you don't have even tires, race once on pavement or ashphalt and see what happens. Becareful of the holeshot!! A banshee (depending on driver) can be really fast or really slow..you won't see as much variance when switching drivers on a four stoke because they have a much wider power band.
