best 25" tire
#1
Welp I talked to the Yamaha dealer, and he said that if I put the 26" tires on the bruin that it would take away a good bit of power. So I decided to go with the 25" tires. What 25" tire is the best. So far I am deciding between mud lites and dirt devils, but I didnt know if there was anything else that had a better tread on it.
Thanks

CobraR6- hey man I'am looking at the same tires. I have a buddy who has the Dirt Devils and really likes them alot. I'am just looking to upgrade from the crappy stocker 2 ply tires. I think the DD are 6ply tire and so are the Mudlites. My only question is how much do the DD weigh? The mudlites weigh about 27lbs per tire. That seems like alot, I wonder how much the stockers weigh? The DD's he has on his Big Bear haven't effected the power at all. He did put 25's on it which are the stock size.

At the ITP web site they give the wieghts of different tires compared to the mudlites. It says that a Mudlite AT 25x8-12 tire wieghs 15.1 lbs compared to a dirt devil 25x8-12 that weighs 18.2 lbs. The Mudlite AT 25x10-12 weighs 19.5 lbs Compared to a dirt devil 25x10-12 tire that weighs 24 lbs. So to me it looks like weight would be saved if mudlites were put on instead of dirt devils.

Go with the 26" Dirt devils! Some of these dealers dont know a whole lot. One inch is'nt going to shut your power down. Get the 26" because they come in the XT style which means a whole lot more thread. Look at it this way if 26" will rob all your power then as you ride them and wear an inch of tread away then you"ll be back to stock. I just spent all moring call'in all over trying to get the best deal on a set of ITP c series type 6 wheels and 26" Dirtdevils and got my second best deal from Lesteratv.com but Matthew at ATV Outfitters.com beat them by $65. I got Wheels, tires, lugs, center caps and shiped to my door for $598.00
Has anyone done any better??

SWEET!!!!.....Was just looking at the new products section of the ITP site and saw they now have deep lug mud lites in 25 inchers. Now I will probable definitely be getting 25" instead of 26".
