Do you have to install a block off kit even if you empty out the resevoir and start running pre-mixed gas in the tank? Will anything bad happen if you run the bike like this without installing the block off kit?

The pump could pump air into the carb, thowing of the air fuel mix. Without the oil passing through the pump it could also seize.

A cheap way to remove it (dissable it) is to pull the pump out and remove the white plastic gear. Then reinstall the pump body, and block off the oil port at the carb (use something like jb weld).

the oil is pumped through a plastic hose and into the carb right? If so, then i could just snip that hose and plug it and I should be ok right? Pumping air into the carb sounds exactly what might be happening to the blaster. Zero bottom-end and doesn't want to idle right. When you blip the throttle it has very poor throttle response!

It would prolly be easier just to buy the block off kit.

make your own kit. A piece of medal to cover wher the pump goes and a plug for where it connects to the carb. i did and it works fine.

You cant just plug the hose and leave the pump still running. Do what daputz suggested and remove the gear on the inside.
