still playing with my jets, had it at 160, 165 and needles on the 3rd clip. It pulled hard but still didnt seem perfect, so I went to the 4th clip on the needles and it pulled really hard but flooded out at the bottom, so took it for a high speed run and it got up to 73.3 vs 64.7, then I checked the plug and it was still lean, so I went to 170,175 and put the needles back to the 3rd clip and have the air fuel at 2 turns out. It got too late and havent rode it yet but it does seem to black smoke some when I pop the throttle. Does anybody know exactly what happenes with the air fuel screws?? does turning it in give you more fuel or less fuel, oh by the way i'm at 5000 ft.

 

in=less fuel
out=more fuel

 

no its in to richen it, out to lean it. when u turn the air screw in it cuts off air which allows more gas to flow which richens it and vice versa.

 

well two different answers, keep in mind that my A/F screws are on the out bound side of the carbs, so does anybody else have input??
