Raptor Cam and sprockets
#1
Hey guys, I'm about ready to put in my stage 1 HC and have some questions on sprocket sizing. I have a 12/41 combination I am wanting to try out but wondering if it would be to wheelie happy with my current setup (Full Exhaust, Pro-flow, jetted). I do mostly tight wooded trail riding, but don't want to have to worry about keeping the front end down all the time.
Are any of you guys running this setup or having any advice?

I am wanting to try and eliminate the gap between first and second. Right now, in the really tight trails I have to be in first alot becauseit tends to bog in 2nd. I want to be able to be in 2nd and 3rd more of the time. I realize that gearing down makes it more prone to wheelies however I need the upper gears to be a bit shorter.

With 22" rear Holeshot XCT tires, I ran 12/44 on the trails. 1st gear was useless but 2nd and 3rd were perfect and it was easy to lift the front end over mud, creeks, brush, etc.

12/41 is some low gearing. probably why your wheeling so much.
hot cam stage 1 is more of a low end cam so it will want to wheelie even more.
try the 12/40 with the stage 1 cam, im running this end it has great power and no noticable gaps between gears
