I can also put my 2 cents in on this. I raced my buddies piped Banshee against my piped YFZ 7 times yesterday and beat hin by at least 3 bike lengths every time. Just my experience. you know im not surprised that your banshee won a few times. In a drag i think a banshee can take a yfz. A 2 stroke 350 is pretty nuts and has almost twice the displacement as the yfz. But the yfz can totally take in it turns and on ruff terrain.

 

although a worked yfz is probably the fastest quad by far

If he is beating you now have him do the cam mod mentioned on the forums and then race. He will really pull away then.

 

then get a good port job for your shee and hes screwed.

 

take that 450 to the sand . the banshee will eat it . the 450 has to much bottom. give that shee some love its only $$$$$$. take it to the hill.
