Hey ive got a Bruin 350 4x4 and use it for logging plowing and for fun. my front loves to bottom from small wheelies and bottoms with my plow on. also im looking to get a locking differential for my front end. when im pulling a trailer with over 1500 lbs(yeah its over what they recommend but thats to what the quad will still control w/ a lightweight person on it) and 2 people on it up my muddy paths, i start to lose traction. any ideas on the shocks or locking diff? Ive looked on a lot of sites and can't find anything yet for my quad, just the kodiak.
some parts will fit on mine from that but i dont want to take chances. Thanx

Ive been looking for new suspension for bruin also. Some of the other yamahas have similar part numbers which would help to know if other shocks would fit. Have you found shocks from other bikes that will fit. Elka and Progressive have shocks for other bikes but none listed for the bruin.

Yeah i was looking up the kodiak 450 because other than the back end it is basically the bruin with a bigger engine, the lcd screen etc. I can almost guarantee the progressive 512 series shocks will fit you bruin too, but im not gonna take any chances on buying the wrong parts so ill hold off a little while.

Thanks for info. I am going to do some measuring and ask some questions for kodiak sizes. I very well may end up purchasing a set if the diminsions work out. I will let you know what happens. It may take another year to get aftermarket parts for bruin.

Yeah if it works for you, please tell me. I have a soft front end from using a heavy plow and hauling things. Also, i had my back end welded up. It turns out, the welds on the bruin's rear swingarm are extremely weak and smal and will crack under too much pressure.
