Curious to see if anyone knows what the difference is between a Kodiak YFM45FAS, and Kodiak YFM450FAR. I am looking on ebay for a service manual, and all I can find is manuals for the YFM450FAR. Mine is a 2004 Kodiak YFM45FAS (as it says on the owners manual). Is there a difference ins models between Canada and the States, or is the difference in the rear suspension (IRS and Swing arm).

 

From what I can tell searching around with Google is that the yfm450far is a 2003 and the yfm45fas is the model number for 2004's and 2005's. As for finding the 45fas manual on ebay, good luck, I looked and couldn't find one either.

 

Thanks, that is also the conclusion that I came to, I guess the 2003 should be fairly close, not a lot of changes between '03 and '04, I don't think.
