Does the starter turn over? Is the battery fully charged? Make sure the spark plug isn't carbon fouled. I would also buy a Clymer's shop manual, and test the ignition coil and stator.

Well, StreetRacer, the EXACT same thing happened to me. My quad is only a year old and it left me stranded one day. It turned out that my stator was bad. Not the large source coil, but a tiny little pickup coil. Yamaha will only sell an entire assembly for $300 dollars. What's funny about the Warrior's stator coil, is that it is submerged in the hot engine oil by design. I can't imagine such extreme heat is any good for electrical components. Anyways, you're obviously not getting a spark, but it turns over, so you know your switches are all good. You just changed the plug, so it's good, too. If the kill switch, neutral relay, starter relay, or solenoid was bad, it wouldn't turn over, so you can eliminate those. Providing that all of your wires are tight and secure, that leaves the ignition coil($50), stator($300), or CDI unit($300). Those are all Yamaha prices. But before you spend any money on ANY PARTS, buy a Clymer's manual at your dealer, or at WWW.CLYMER.COM. I bought mine for $30. Their latest manual only goes to 1995, but it's all the same. It has an excellent chapter on the electrical system, and has a trouble shooting-chart, with a ton of details to narrow down your problem. Also, you'll need to get a hold of an electrical multi-tester to perform the troubleshooting checks.

The simplest method that doesnt cost a cent is to unscrew your spark plug, lay it on the cylinder where it will get a good ground and hit the electric start button. If it has a nice blue spark it's NOT electrical. If you have a spark then your problem is most likely fuel system related. Check for a plugged float valve on the carb, good fuel flow from the petcock, and a just plain dirty carb. If none of the above does you any good run a compression test.

You should start with the basics.
Spark, fuel, compression.
Which one dont you have?
If you do not know how to do these checks yourself, I would suggest you have a qualified tech do it.
