Default YFZ help needed

this will be long anyone that can help please read

I got my YFZ like 9 months ago, i piped it myself with a big gun complete, got the K&N filter and a jet kit. i did all of those things myself except the jetting because it wouldnt turn on when i did it. i messed up the cam mod. Ok, i was trying to do the cam mod and one of the half moons freakin dropped into the engine, at that point i was in over my head so i took my bike to a local quad repair shop. he told me it was a stupid mod and that it wouldnt work so i told him to change the cam to stock and to jet the bike for me. ever since this happend i havent been able to go out for a weekend without my quad breaking down. this past weekend i went to san felipe and the YFZ kept turning off, it wouldnt idle and the only way it would start is if i gave it a ton of gas and even then the engine had to turn more than it should. after some time doing this it wouldnt even start by giving it gas and the battery died from trying too much. i push started it couple of times but it would shut off in time. so with all that in mind, i'm very fustrated and thinking about selling it and getting a 450r, but i really like the yfz. what do u recommend i do? i think it may just be the carb is not adjusted right. but at this point i dont want to try anything myself. also i bought the extended warranty would it cover this sort of thing? my battery is shot, and its not the first time its happend from this exact thing. anyone recommend anyone in orange county CA that could help me pinpoint why my bike is not reliable?

If you have the warranty just take it in and get it all fixed up.

Don't take it bake to whoever worked on it before, because he apperently didn't jet it correct and the cam mod is a dum thing to do.

90 days parts & labor at most places all over the country. Before spending more money, give him one more shot at it. It could be nothing more than an adjustment, then your out-the-door to more fun. If you take it to someone else, you might never get your money back (hard to prove in small claims court) since it was non-running and incomplete when you took it to him...

Just something to ponder before making a decision.
