Alpinestar tech 5

 

I've got alpinestars tech 10's. Love em.

 

The most comfy boots , Alpinestar tech 6 usually 150-160 but worth it . I picked up a set of ARC corona boots out of rocky mountain atv in the scratch and dent section , they had one little half inch scuff on the inside of the leather cuff area , i got them for 50.00 plus shipping , think it was 61.00 total . Anyway they were super stiff at first until i did the old cowboy trick on them , waded into the first creek soaked them for about 5 minutes then wore them all day til they dried . Now they fit like my hiking boots . When I got them I walked around like a toy soldier but they are great now . They do save your lower legs and ankles and the foot arch area support is the most important thing to me . Now if I dont wear my boots I feel weird around my feet , sort of vulnerable . Cheap insurance I guarantee .

 

Hey guys, i've been reading your posts on this thread, and it seems like the Alpinestars Tech series and Fox Forma Pros are th better boots. I've never ridden riding boots before but i'm interested in getting some. But i have no clue how the sizes work. I wear a size 12 in dress shoes and a 14 in like nikes hehe. Would a size 13 be good for me in boots? Also, what is the difference in the Alpinestars Tech series (besides price)?

 

Well i wear a 9 1/2 in most tennis shoes and been needing a 10 on all boots ive tried on if that helps any. Ive tried FLY, Thor and the Fox pros on all needed a 10

very stiff but flexible at the same time

after you wreck without a good set of boots you will wish you had a decent pair of protective boots (no wal-mart boots)
instead of all the mods to your bike dont be stupid get a good pair of boots
they will pay for themselves if you ride hard trust me

 

I bought a pair of THOR T-30's before I even bought my quad. I rode my three wheeler with them . They are broke in now and as comfortable as any other boot I have. I want a pair of the THOR quadrant boots. They look cool as heck and are priced right 130.00. I will have to wait until the T-30's wear out (if that ever happens) before the boss will allow it. I would def. be looking at some expensive hospital bills without those boots. They have saved my legs a few times and are still in exellent condition.

Best way to check boot size is to go to a shop and try a pair on. You'll get an idea of the size you need, then you can find who has the best price and buy them. May want to check out Bob's, just got the mailer and he had some good prices on the 04 styles (if you're like me, it doesn't matter if it's last years if the price is good).
