Default Grizzly Mud Tires

Im wanting to know if i can run 28" ITP 589's on my Grizzly and have plunty of clearence ?? If so what sizes should i go with ?

you will need wheel spacers and a lift and them tires are going to kill you power

I have 27" ITP 589 M/S tires on mine with no clearance problems. I didn't even adjust the suspension. Check out the pictures on my page. I think you might need a lift kit with 28 inchers.

I noticed some power loss. Top end speed is slower, but that might be because the tires are 2" larger. That would cause the speedometer to read less. I also can't ride any wheelies with the new tires. I don't know if that's because of the extra weight in front or the HP loss. There is still plenty of power, but it does make a little bit of difference.

Thats what i was affriad of but i have been doing some reading and i think with a clutch kit and some power upgrades it will even out at least thats what im hoping

I would think that you would notice the HP loss a lot more on a Kodiak. In my opinion the gains you get from the extra traction far outweigh the small performance loss. What good is the extra power if your tires are just spinning in the mud?
