Default New pipe on griz, do I need a heat shield

I put a FMF pipe on my griz, I put the heat shields that are on the pipe part next to the engine. But do I need to modify the big heat shield that is held on with 3 big straps to my new FMF. It would look dumb.

I was just worried about the fender plastics.

I purchased some sticky heat shield from summit racing and put it on some of the plastic. I hope it will keep the storage box a lil cooler.

But the FMF powerline is a little bit shorter than the OEM pipe....just want to see more peoples opinions.

Do you have a heat shield with your aftermarked pipe or not?????

Thanks
Smo

I love the new setup. I am from Greensburg area.

I just put on a FMF powerline (sounds good, not much louder...but throaty), K&N and Dynojet kit...with the new rims, tires, bumpers and winch...it made it alive again.

I think it was well worth it...it took a good bit of time to dial in the jet kit. But I think I have it right on.

I will take some pics of the muffler setup and mods I have done the last week and put them up soon.

Smoman, what did the pipe cost you? I am thinking about white brothers E-series and its kinda expensive. I had one of those pipes on my Raptor and liked the way it sounded. I figured the same engine then I would think it would sound about the same.

I got the kit from bc-offroad.com for $330 with the pipe, jet kit, k&n and outerwear.

They are great to deal with....

I'm curious as to how you put your heatshield back on your header pipe? I took my header off to be jetthot coated and couldnt get that POS shield back on
