Basically the raptor is better for casual trail riders, bigger guys, and low end power. The yfz is the better race machine and has the weight, handling, and performance advantage.

I have botht the raptor is the way to go for trail riding, the suspension in my opinion and the seat are better for slow casual riding. But for rough, fast, type of riding the YFZ will be there. As for a pipe, I have my Yoshi, it's a bit loud, but the quality is good over all. Good luck choosing. You wont go wrong, these machines are both good.

I use both my YFZ and Raptor on the trails in the mountains and they are both ok but if you are sticking to trails deffinately go with the raptor. It has a lot of low end for jsut crawling around and you can set it up so it's an easy ride with a couple people on it. Like if there is ever some room for fun though my favorite is the YFZ. Not to steer you of your train of thought but if you are seriously going to be doing a lot of riding with a little girl on your lap and stuff and want a quad that is very family friendly to any of your family members then you could take a look at something like a scrambler. Thats the reason i haven't got rid of mine becasue they are easy to drive for beginers, have plenty of power, are very versatile, reliable, and can be fun also. The only thing though is that you won't get the fast thrill that a raptor or YFZ might give when your al by yourself. Juat thought i would add that.
