I agree, taking property is over the line. Though I dont have a problem with punshined idiots who break the rules too many times. I say just write them a 500 dollar ticket for every repeat offense.

I look at that question and it reminds of the people that get busted for DUI's or DWI's and they still get the pleasure of riding a scooter on the public roads. There's always a way to teach a law breaker a lesson, hit them where it hurts.
Just like around here it is legal to ride ATV's on county roads as long they are registered, and when people get pulled over and get ticketed for not having there ATV registered. What could have prevented a fine only costs $30 for 3 years, and if they get caught again without there #'s there ATV gets impounded..

heres the part i dont get. it dosnt matter whether you vote yes or no. we are not going to ahve anything to do with it. this poll shows nuthin. i dont live in minnesota, but i do beleiveif you break the same law repeatedly(more then 3 times) then harsh punishments should be given. i have a friend who was killed by a drunk atv rider at a local riding area. tyhe came around the curve at the same time. the drunk was in his side of the road. and he jerked it over and went off of a bluff. this is what im talkin about
i think drunk atv riders should be thrown in jail and their bikes crushed for that matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't open the poll, but I think I would vote yes. Not that I want people to have their ATVs taken away, but because I think the punishment for repeat offenders should be severe.
Minnesota puts a lot of time and money into their ATV/snowmobile trail systems. It's not like there is nowhere to ride. It's the peopl;e that ride in the "posted" gravel pits and on DNR Production land that clearly says "no motorized vehicles" that's causing most of the problems. For those that continue to ride in those areas, instead of taking their quads away, Minnesota should take their quads and make these people do community service on the trails. When they complete their community service they can have their quad back. This will not keep the idiots from breaking the law again, but at least the state would get something in return.

The thing to remember, whether its driving a car or a quad...its not a right. Its a priviledge, and if you cant follow the rules...the state has the right to step in. If we self police each other...then the state doesnt get involved.
No one has any comment on the guy who got 7 tickets? Is it outragous? What do you think should be done to him?
