thats funny .. i thought this was "normal" i have an 04 rappy with about 18 hours had its first service at 10... and the just like the other guy described the throttle seems "rough" at very minimal acceleration. I thought it was the powerband....thought it just loved me hitting the gas. Its def not smooth like my buddies z400.... I also attributed this to the large increase in torque... Do you think something is wrong?

BTW- once u get it past the first 1/3-1/2 inch throttle its smooth....

Yeah it runs hard when you stomp on the gas. I just hate having a little hesitation whether its in my truck or on my raptor...

Especially when you hold it just above idle and it wants to miss and cough at you.

Bingo we think the same....One thing that worries me is letting someone ride my rappy...... if your starting off in 1st gear and touch the gas a little it SEEMS LIKE it has no *****, so then most hit it some more and BAMMMMMMMM, ur front wheels are off the ground.....

Its your air/fuel mixture (pilot) screws..........some of them are set too lean from the factory like they were on my 05. Try turning them out another quarter or half turn each.

One post on the site, and it's rambling about aftermarket parts in response to a year old tuning problem to a member who is no longer active...

No, it wont help.
