should i rejet my carb if all i have is a kn air filter?

Probably not. The only way to tell is by doing a plug chop.

what do you mean by plug chop sorry to sound stupid i know more about cars than quads

You do a plug check to see if your running to lean from the added air flow. Do a seach for posts will find lots of helpful posts telling you how. good luck
