87 warior

Hey I am new to the forum, and this is my first post so please be gentel. Any how I just got a 87 warrior it is in great shape. I plan on keeping it for a year to be sure that I will enjoy 4 wheelin again, next year I will probably upgrade to something bigger. My question is what are a few inexpensive up grades that can be done to get more torque? I am 6"2" 230 lbs so I know that I am big for the machine, but it was inexpensive and I really want to be sure that I will enjoy this befor I plop 5G's down on a new ride. any comments would be great.

Welcome to the forum!
Buy gas and ride it. They are great quads but use it for a while before doing anything to it. Maybe you want to keep it and invest some money in it or trade it off for something else. Ride it for now and then make up your mind

It is stock except for a supertrapp exhaust. I was thinking about droping the front sprocket down 1 tooth to get more bottom end as an ability to utilize all 6 gears. I was thinking a k&n filter. I don't mind spending some cash to get some power just want the best bang for my $. I will be riding the trails around S.E. Idaho as well as going to St. Anthony to ride the dunes.
