Default 2003 Warior

My buddys warior will start and idle,but as soon as you hit the gass it blows the fuse under the seat.If anyone knows what is causing this please send me an email to king_kval@yahoo.com.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i know i am having same problem with my 2002 the other day...but still havent fixed it

That doesn't make any sense, I never heard of this happening before ever and i've been on warrior forums for years. I don't know how it could be related to the throttle, as nothing electrical is physically connected to the throttle system. The only thing I can think of at the moment is that you have a bad cdi that is overdrawing current, a bad voltage regulator allowing the voltage to spike, causing current over-draw, or just some random wire shorted out somewhere.

I was wondering if it was the voltage regulater or cdi myself, because he said he went through the creek ,and about 10 to 15 minuits later it quit running.I think he fried something when he got it wet.

Well if it happened after he went through deep water then I'd say it's likely that there's water in the wiring harness somewhere shorting stuff out.

Thanks recon99.We blew all of the connections out with an air nozel and now it runs great.

Good to hear that you got it figured out.

If you want to keep that from happening again, go to the auto parts store and get some dielectric grease. Smear a glob of that in each of the connectors, that'll keep water out and prevent corrosion.
