I have a 1987 YFM100 champ . the ring and pinion gear and drive pinion gear are chewed up ,because the nuts on the end of the axle came loose and let the axle drift to the side. I priced a new ring & pinion gear which is on the axle and can not be seperated and also priced the drive pinion, both are very expensive. A atv mechanic told me to try pricing the parts for a 2004 raptor 80,he said possibly they are the same parts. I looked on the internet and they sure do look the same ,but wanted to know if someone else would have any input on this mater before i spend the extra money on the parts.
