Our Blaster lost 6th gear!! I can't figure out why, I thought the clutch might be adjusted improperly, which it still may be, but every other gear works fine. My bro was riding in the woods, mainly 1-3 gears, then when he went down the road, 6th wouldn't work. I took it for a ride, and when you shirt into 6th, the motor just revs freely with no load on it, has this happened to anyone, what should I check, please help!!

 

the teeth on the gear in the tranny probably wore or broke off

 

I'm wondering, why would the teeth wear off of 6th gear, it is the least used gear?? The blaster is an 88, we just got it, I don't know its full history, but it was prob. riden hard as it is old, but wouldn't a lower gear wear before 6th, the least used one?? please help, what else could it be, could it be the clutch??

 

I don't think it is the clutch........
