Most people just get offset rims and wider tires.

They will work just fine, but they are pretty expensive. The stock tires have very thin side walls and tend to roll over in hard turnes. This is one reason the Grizzly feels tipsy. If you get tires with a stiffer side wall you will eliminate some of that top heavy feeling. Also, after-market rims will be slightly off set giving you an even more stable feeling.
If you don't want to spend $400-$500 on new tires and rims you can use the spacers but it won't help with the lousy stock tires.
