Default YFZ vs BANSHEE

Just a little food for thought. Bike to bike the Banshee does not develope low end power, so that being said in a short range drag race ie up hill from stop the YFZ is able to develope the power right out of the hole. Therefore by the time the Banshee reaches its peak performance the race is over. Moreover, the only thing on the hill that night that beat the YFZ was another YFZ which had more mods (port and polish). Just speaking the facts. The Banshee is fast there is obviously no disputing that fact, but it has a totally different power range than a YFZ.

Hey man, I appreciate your story and all and if its true, well then that is one fast YFZ. Much faster than a stock YFZ.

BUT, dont tell us banshee riders that the power doesnt come on till late in the powerband... so in a shorter race, weve already lost.

You see, this tells us why that banshee lost that race. He didnt know how to ride the damn thing. A banshee develops MASSIVE power RIGHT from the start of a drag race when properly ridden.. by revving the **** out of it and dumping the clutch. Power is there... NOW.

Your story TELLS A STORY about the rider that was on 'the banshee in question". If his power wasnt available right away, like you said, then he did NOT know how to properly drag race the thing. End of story.

K well honestly if you want to find out ..take the two stock bikes and race them. then put the exact same mods on them and race them again. BUT if you want to pay less and go faster then buy a banshee. shees are crazy fast...but personaly i love my YFZ more than the banshee but ill admit the shee is faster..

boy, isn't that the truth. The first time, I didn't rev it up enough to launch in 2nd. Bogged bad, but when it hit that powerband, you just stay in it.. WOW

I am not talking about powerband. We all know a banshee has a hell of a POWERBAND, which is TWO STROKE power. I am talking about torque. Two totally different subjects. Anyone who rides a Banshee knows they DON'T develope low end torque. Banshees are high end power. 4th gear and up. That is what makes them FAST!!!! You are totally missing my point. Banshees are FAST. I am not disputing that. They just develope that power at a different point. Hey if I wanted to tell a TALE tail I would tell you that my 250R beats Banshees up a hill race. And the riders like I said earlier were very equal in riding ability. If Banshees are the all around fastest bikes why didn't they dominate the pro race circuit like the 250R has for 20+ years. Because they don't develope LOW END Torque. IE why the Honda 250R has been the #1 race winner.

Oh man oh man.. Here we go.

First thing is this. When someone explains how a 2 stroke has "high end power", they are not referring to transmission gears.
"high end power" or, "lots of top end" simply means HIGH RPM power. The cog your in... irrevilent.

That being said, (and hopefully understood) A banshee with mods such as porting will pull hard in every single gear, right from the get go. First gear.
A banshee is as QUICK, as it is FAST. A motors RPM range has nothing to do with what gear you have selected.

"Banshees are high end power. 4th gear and up" Makes NO sense. A motor either PULLS HARD, or doesnt.

You speak of Banshees lack of low end torque. TRUE. But this is only a factor in a situation where high RPM can be accessed in a split second.
(such as a roll on race from 3rd gear, low RPM, no clutch dumping allowed) Then, the banshee would suffer. However, in a drag race from a standstill the banshees lack of low RPM torque isnt a factor. WHY? Because if you KNOW HOW TO RACE, You are ALWAYS in the powerband.

the shee is an happy reving engine cauze it came from a street bike
and have very light flywheel and crank, short stroke make it more awsome
to run, just remove 2 lbs off your raptor flywheel, and you'll have less
torque than a shee then..

You are right your bike is the fastest out there nobody can beat a Banshee.
