all i have ever heard is that the yfz 450 is faster than a banshee stock i just bought a STOCK yfz 450 i will be racing a piped banshee and a stock one this weekend i will tape the footage and post it,i think the fastest stock quad ever made is the zilla

I would have to agree with "moldycheese" on this one however I would not count out the 4 strokes, The fastest sled around here this year is the RX1 turbo, about 250 hp with 7 pounds of boost. It might trickle down into the atv world.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

My Buddy has a Stock 660 Raptor And my other buddy has a Done to the NUT banshee. In a Drag the banshee Barly creeps past the raptor. Raptor smokes the shee off the line and mid-range when the shee clicks into 6th it CREEPS past the raptor.. Now the raptor is piped with a trinity stage 5 Full pipe system. has a K&n air filter with out the airbox lid. with new jetting. Look Out banshee..No joke
And the Yfz can beat a raptor..

those of you out there that are saying a stock banshee tops out at 6x MPH need to figure out how to shift into 6th gear.

Second of all, stock for stock they are probably somewhat close with the win going to the 450. (except maybe in the LONG run, top speed)

In a power contest, I have learned in my past that NOTHING.. no, nothing will beat a modded banshee in a drag race. No other quad.

You guys out there saying that buck for buck, the YFZ is superior, or, the YFZ responds to mods in a similar way with the banshee, GET REAL.
The banshee motor is a little sleepy quiet puppy in stock form. All it takes is a few little things (pipes, good filter) to completely wake it up,
and spend a few bucks on porting and whatnot, and it can make more than twice the stock HP. Up the CC's and then, well it gets downright scary.

How can anyone argue that? The 450 may have a little left in her, but it aint no sleeping puppy in stock form. Its already very strung out.
(and its only marginally faster than the stock banshee!)

Those of you out there who are saying anything different are obviously arguing because its the machine you have, and you want to 'back it up'.
We all know the truth though. I aint no brand loyal, banshee forever guy either. I had a quadzilla before the Shee, and sure after I was done it
was reasonably quick, but what a POS compared to the ever so easy starting and reliable banshee.

OH yea, and one more thing. My 97 black/red banshee has FMF fattys, UNI filter, aluminum thumb throttle, aluminum air filter adapter/conversion,
complete set of paddles and razors, and complete set of knobbies and I got it for 3200 bucks about 7 months ago. Choke on that.
